This lovely 7-year-old spayed chocolate Labrador Retriever is looking for a calm, loving home after being owner-surrendered. Her previous owners, who were breeders, made the difficult decision to rehome their dogs due to age and the inability to continue caring for them. She is an exceptionally sweet and gentle girl with a very submissive personality, especially with people. She absolutely adores human attention-if you begin petting her, she will immediately roll onto her side or back, happily soaking up affection. She truly just wants to be close to her people and enjoys quiet companionship. She walks beautifully on a leash with little to no pulling, making her a wonderful and easy walking companion. She does not show any signs of food or toy guarding with humans and has a calm, easygoing temperament. Like some dogs from similar backgrounds, she has not yet learned how to play with toys, but may begin to show interest with time and encouragement. For the best fit, she should be placed in a home with male dog(s) only, where she is most comfortable. This affectionate, loyal girl is ready to spend her golden years in a home that will give her the love, patience, and companionship she deserves.
