* 7 years old * weighs 32 pounds * heartworm negative * owner surrender by no fault of her own * housebroken and crate trained * kid friendly - all ages * dog friendly * no cats - she doesnt care for them * shy/overwhelmed in the shelter environment but very sweet - she's sad, confused, and missing her family. * sweet girl - she likes people * quick to trust and welcomes attention * smart- knows sit, lay, and stay commands * easy to leash and walk * curious - she was interested in watching the pig who was down in the barn area * very gentle, wants to please * loves everyone and wants love in return Mary Jane is a sweet girl who is feeling sad, confused, overwhelmed, and lonely here at the shelter. She had the same family her entire life and she doesn't understand why she's here. She is missing home terribly. She was shaking in her kennel at first but she warmed up quickly once she felt safe. The noisy and unfamiliar shelter environment is very stressful after living her whole life in a home. Mary Jane enjoyed being outside - it's less noisy and she was more relaxed. She was easy to walk and she loved watching the pig down in the barnyard. Mary Jane was happy for the love, pets, and extra attention. Once back inside she was given a soft blanket to help her feel comfortable while she waits and hopes for a family to give her a new forever home. Please don't let this be the end for Sweet Mary Jane.
