About Dexter

Gentleman alert!!! Seriously, have you seen this dapper boy's face?? When you meet him, you'll just melt! Dexter is about 55lbs and low to medium energy and very gentle. We are not sure on his age, but we think 5-7 years. He is 100% AMAZING! Dexter is your perfect combination of sweet, gentle, and playful. He loves a nice walk and adores snuggling. He has been getting along great with the other dogs of various sizes in his foster home. His foster pup siblings have been teaching him how to play, how to have the zoomies, and how to chew on and play with toys. He has been doing well with his crate training when he gets a special treat for going in and prefers to have cartoons playing when left alone. :) Dexter has puppy dog eyes that will pierce your soul in the best ways. Even in the shelter, he had wiggle butts galore when someone would come up to him. Now that he is in a foster home, he has learned the wonders of cuddling on couches and sleeping in beds and he is LOVING it! He is a smart boy and has been learning routines quickly. He is so gentle with everyone. In his forever home, he would be happy either having dog siblings or to be an only pup. Lots of barking dogs tend to make him timid. Dexter has not met cats yet. While he has been good with kids 10 years and up, young kiddos can be a bit overwhelming for this calm and gentle boy (he will remove himself from the room).
