About Yukon

6 year old (7 in may) pomeranian available for rehome. His previous owner gave him (name is Yukon) to me to foster due to her pregnancy. I previously was Yukons dog sitter for the last year. Yukon loves to play and nap during the day. Yukon is crate trained, knows the commands sit, lay down and stay. Yukon can be high energy but is a low maintenance dog. Yukon is house and potty trained. His favorite toy is tug of war and his ball. Overall he is a friendly, sassy puppy with a lot of personality. He gets very excited and does spins, hops, and rolls around frequently. he weighs 10.6 LBS and has all of his vaccines up to date. Yukon is friendly with other dogs and animals but would do best in a home with no other pets or kids as he is an alpha dog. He previously has lived with a small child and a cat, but since his owners pregnancy has a change in behavior where I think it would be most appropriate if he didn't live with animals or kids again. Yukon does display food aggression but can be hand fed treats. He should only be fed meals inside his crate. He also does not like to be pet while he is asleep. He can tolerate the car but does not enjoy is and get anxiety in it on long drives. Yukon needs to be crated with a blanket over the crate when you leave the home to avoid barking.
