About ATLAS

House and crate trained. Super sweet and smart! Loves to play with his foster sister. Very trainable. He is one of the most loving dogs we have had in our home-- total lap dog!. He is young, and is a hound, so needs lots of exercise and activities. And he needs a yard with a high fence. He has jumped our low picket fence! We are retired so he is used to people having people around. We walk him 2 or 3 times a day, and take him to the dog park several days a week. He was dumped and on his own for a while so still needs training on things like not pulling when he smells a critter, or is excited! He would do well on a farm or large property where he could run and hunt, or with someone willing to do activities with him everyday. He will be well worth your effort! Very affectionate, loyal, gentle, and sweet. He does whine and bark/howl sometimes but we distract him with a treat or hug and reassure him until he calms down. 90% of the time he is a truly wonderful pet, with time and training he will be 100% awesome! (we have not seen him around children but think he will do well as he is so sweet and gentle)
