About Shadow

Shadow - Sweet, Playful Young Dog (Approx. 1.5-2 yrs, 36 lbs) Shadow is a friendly, affectionate young dog who showed up in our area and has been in our care while we work to find her the right home. She has been seen by a mobile vet who said she looks healthy, and provided her vaccinations, and gave flea/tick prevention. She is very people-oriented, loves attention, and enjoys playing as well as relaxing and napping. She is food-motivated and has been responding well to basic training and guidance. Shadow has been doing well indoors, is improving on leash, and has allowed handling such as bathing and being lifted without issue. She appears to do well with other dogs and enjoys being around them. She can be a little shy when meeting new people but warms up quickly with patience and kindness. We are currently caring for her in a home with a senior dog who does not like other dogs and is not adjusting well, so we are looking for a more suitable long-term placement where Shadow can thrive. Shadow would do best in a home that can continue working with her on overcoming fears, provide consistency, and give her the attention she enjoys.
