Every now and then, we receive a stray that reminds us why we do what we do-and Wallace is one of those heart-melting stories. Wallace is a 12 year old Lab mix who was found with two other dogs and brought into a shelter east of Denver. He was skin and bones, his feet and legs covered in sores. The vet thought that his sores were from standing in his feces. Unbelievable, disheartening... trying to imagine what this boy was going through for months or even years that seemed forever long and grueling. Even though the pain he had to endure in his last home started to take a toll on his body, it did not on his soul and mind. Wallace did what is hard to believe... he forgave.. Wallace is the sweetest spirit, loving and affectionate. He believes in the good in people and shows it with kindness. Wallace was just transferred into a foster home but still needs a home.. a home with that special person or family who will love him for the amazing and wonderful soul he is. His foster mom is amazed how much he has come out of his shell. He walks well on a leash, plays with the foster mom's puppies. He is infatuated with dogs toys and enjoys catching balls. He is very active and doesn't act like a 12 year old dog. Wallace also seems to know sit. Please contact us today. One thing Wallace can promise you is that he will reciprocate your love and kindness a thousand fold.
