This post is going out with a prayer for poor Griffin , he is cat friendly !!! DUMPED BACK AT THE SHELTER WITHOUT TELLING RESCUE !! How many times can a heart be broken before it stops hoping? GRIFFIN needs a foster or adopter Griffin is back at the shelter, and we are completely heartbroken. This was not a proper return and no one contacted us. We found out the same way strangers do, by seeing his face back behind kennel bars, and trying to process how this could have happened again. People are so cruel and now his life is on the line . Griffin was there as a young pup, adopted for 5 years before he was there again last year, and now at 8 years old, he is back for the third time. Three times abandoned, three times left behind, and three times he has had to watch the people he loved walk away. And somehow, despite all of it, he still smiles. It is the same soft, gentle smile that once made us believe his happy ending had finally come, the same smile that quietly asks if he is still a good boy even after everything he has been through. Griffin is not the problem and he never has been. He is the same dog we told you about, calm, loving, and deeply loyal. He is a 76 pound cuddlebug who just wants to rest his head next to someone who will not disappear. He is well mannered in the home. He knows his commands, he takes treats gently, and he carries his stuffed toys like they are the only things he has ever truly been allowed to keep, his treasures. He does not understand why he keeps losing everything, but we do, and it is breaking us. This time feels different in the most frightening way. An 8 year old dog back in the shelter for the third time is how dogs get overlooked, how they run out of time. Griffin deserves one person who truly means forever, someone patient and kind who will see him not as a returned dog, but as a good, gentle soul who has never once given up on people. He is still waiting, still hoping, and still smiling. Please do not let this be how his story ends - we need to get him out of the shelter ASAP. 8 years old, 76 lbs, gets along with cats, but should not live with other dogs due to his past trauma. In the past a pack of dogs attacked him . This boy really does deserves the very best after all he went through.
