Akasha was brought into a high kill shelter in CA as a stray a couple of days before christmas. Despite her great demeanor, ability to get along with other dogs, health and her good looks, she sat in the shelter for months until she was listed for euthanasia for 'long stay/no interest'. We were interested though. She has been with us about a week now and she is so fun, playful and intelligent. Akasha may be great with kids, but in the first week she has been very jumpy and mouthy (but responsive to redirection) so would probably do the best in a home with older children or diligent supervision with younger kiddos.
