About Howard

Meet Howard�'�| now 12 weeks old, 15 pounds, and very much on track to become a large adult dog with an equally large personality. He's growing like a weed, powered by curiosity, confidence, and probably a little bit of chaos. Howard's mom is a 37-pound Australian Shepherd mix, and while she kept things nice and reasonable in the size department�'�| let's just say dad didn't stick around to offer input, and Howard appears to be making his own big-dog plans. Howard is the first to investigate anything new, the first to dive into playtime, and the first to say, 'I bet I can climb that.' Whether it's a toy, a leaf pile, or something you really wish he hadn't noticed, Howard is already on it. Howard is outgoing, adventurous, and full of personality. He loves playing with other dogs and thrives on interaction. He's the kind of puppy who doesn't wait for life to happen�'�| he goes out and finds it. Because of that, Howard is going to need a home that's ready for: �'ۢ A large, active dog �'ۢ Plenty of exercise and playtime �'ۢ Training and structure to help him grow into a well-mannered adult He is doing well with housetraining, but he's still very much a puppy and will need consistency, supervision, and patience as he continues to learn. A physically fenced yard is strongly preferred for Howard so he has a safe place to run, explore, and burn off some of his energy. Howard is not a 'sit on the sidelines' kind of dog. He's a let's-go-do-something dog. A future hiking buddy, running partner, or backyard zoomie champion. If you're looking for a big personality in a rapidly growing body, and you're ready for the fun (and work!) of raising an adventurous puppy into a confident adult, Howard might just be your guy. Howard is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and has received two of the three required distemper/parvo vaccinations.
