��%90%BE���� Meet Ellie - A Sweet, Shy Girl Looking for a Patient Home ������%90%BE Ellie is a beautiful medium mixed breed weighing about 32 pounds, with an approximate birthdate of December 18, 2024. This gentle girl has a heart full of love and is looking for a special home with patience and understanding as she learns to feel confident and safe. Ellie is incredibly sweet and gentle and has never shown any signs of aggression whatsoever. She can be shy and unsure around new people at first, but it's important to know that she isn't the type of dog who runs away and hides. In fact, when she meets someone new, she will often roll right over for belly rubs-she absolutely loves them! The only difference is that she may not come up to you right away. She usually prefers that you come to her while she slowly figures you out. She just needs a little time to feel comfortable with new people. ��ե Once she trusts you, Ellie is a very affectionate girl who loves pets, attention, and relaxing near her people. One of her favorite things is curling up on the couch to nap and enjoy being close to the family. Ellie is also great with kids and does well with other dogs. In fact, she really needs a home with another playful dog. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs, and having a canine friend helps build her confidence and brings out her playful personality. ��%90 ��%90%BE Ellie has a fun and slightly ornery side too! She loves toys and loves to play. Sometimes her playful curiosity gets the best of her and she may get into things around the house. One of her favorite mischievous activities is stealing shoes if they are left on the floor. She usually doesn't chew them-she just likes to carry them off and hide them somewhere, which keeps things interesting around the house. ���� Because Ellie is still very nervous on a leash, she will require a securely fenced-in yard. She does not walk well on a leash yet and can get very scared when one is put on. Sometimes she even tries to back out of the leash, which could be dangerous if she were to escape. For this reason, a fenced yard is extremely important so she can safely go outside and explore. When she goes to the vet, Ellie is often so nervous about the leash that she has to be carried into the office, which shows just how unsure she can be in unfamiliar situations. With time, patience, and continued positive experiences, we believe she will keep gaining confidence.
