About Bodie

Adoption Fee: $350
Australian Shepherd
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

This adorable guy is Bodie. He is a Miniature Australian Shepherd. He was born 11/02/2020 and is 30 lbs. Bodie is very smart; he knows the commands sit, wait, leave it, drop it, spin, off, down, roll over, touch, and responds to 'excuse me, sir' when he's in the way. He is fully house trained, crate trained, and will patiently sit and wait to eat his dinner until instructed ('release' is his magic word). Bodie is good in a quieter household only with adults. He's not a fan of kids and has nipped before. Bodie loves adult people and is overjoyed when human friends visit (especially if they can be convinced to toss a toy for him). Once he's finished his exercise for the day, he likes to lounge in the sun or at your feet while you work. He can bark if someone knocks on the door or rings the doorbell, but is friendly once his owners welcome the guest in. Bodie isn't into other dogs or dog parks, but loves being outside and going on hikes, for runs, or playing fetch. Bodie wears a gentle leader on walks and will politely walk past dogs, but you want to make sure pay attention because every once in a while there will be a dog he will bark at. He's great in the car on short trips, and tolerates long road trips as long as he gets breaks to stretch his legs. Bodie is so sweet and affectionate, especially with his favorite human, and he likes to regularly check on everyone in the household to make sure they're ok. He's at his best with calm, confident adults whom he knows are in charge. He loves treats and being brushed, will tolerate baths and loves his fluffy fur when he's freshly bathed. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is located in the San Fernando Valley in LA County and would love to meet adopters who can come to the Valley to meet. We do not ship dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
