About Trixie

Trixie and her puppies were first spotted in a remote Russian olive patch in the bitter cold of December. She was so skittish, it took rescuers weeks to catch her. She is a medium size dog around 20lb. She is a sweet spirit even at her most terrified moments, she is submissive and gentle. Not an aggressive bone in her body. She maybe has never had a home but the lure of a soft bed in a quiet corner has become a beloved safe space. She really loves other dogs and becomes playful and animated with them. She also is more brave one on one with children than adults. If there ever was a candidate for being a dog's pet, Trixie might be it. She is slowly enjoying leash walks because outside is more familiar and no doorways to navigate.
