About Sage

With a very heavy heart, we are looking for a loving, experienced home for our 5-year-old female Pitbull Terrier, Sage. She has been with us since she was 2 months old. She is up to date on all vaccinations, is spayed and microchipped, and has been deeply loved and cared for her entire life. She is incredibly affectionate and people-loving, she adores visitors, loves to play, cuddle, and be close to her humans. She's very food-motivated, enjoys treats, and responds well to positive reinforcement. At night, she loves her bed and being tucked in like the baby she is. She is high-energy and playful, and would thrive with someone who enjoys engaging with her and giving her structure. She is currently on medication to help with anxiety and overstimulation, which has helped her significantly. She has lived with a cat her whole life and coexists well, though they're more playful companions than best friends. She would do best as the only dog, as she does not do well with other dogs. We are looking for an adult-only or older-child home, ideally with someone experienced with the breed, who can provide consistency, patience, and lots of love. She has never bitten a person or animal. This decision is incredibly difficult, and we are committed to finding her the right home, not just any home.
