IT TAKES A VILLAGE, AND YOU ARE MINE Those of you that rescue/adopt these Shepherds in need instead of paying a Breeder, YOU are the REAL TRUE HEROES.***Thank you so much. [I do my best to be as accurate as I possibly can in these profiles. I disclose all that is disclosed to me]. [Case opened on 03/19/26]. URGENT!!! Springfield, Ohio. (willing to drive up to 75 miles, possibly more). 4 Y/O MALE WHITE SHEPHERD MIX (DOB: 5/15/22). His name is 'Ghost'. Background: Ghost was rescued as a puppy from an abusive person. When he was found, he was covered in fleas and ticks, severely matted, and was very fearful of that Person, an older white male, which has remained a trigger for him. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Good with kids. Good with dogs. NOT Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained. Any known medical issues?: None known, but does have Anxiety and Stranger Fear. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: YES - severe neglect as a puppy (infested with fleas/ticks, matted, fearful). ENERGY LEVEL: Medium. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: Medium. Weighs 115 lbs. Currently on Authority Grain-free dog food. Good with car rides?: No - Ghost has high anxiety in cars and has attempted to jump out of windows. Windows must always be kept up for safety. Socialized with: *people?: No. *dogs?: No. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): No - Ghost displays Fear-based Reactive Behavior toward new people. He may act aggressive initially, but this is due to fear. With time, patience, and Proper Introduction, he does calm down and becomes comfortable. Known Triggers: �'ۢ Fear of older white males (improving over time but still present) �'ۢ New/unfamiliar people. Loves: Toys, outside time, treats, food, getting lovings and pets, pleasing his person, cuddling, walks, chilling on the couch, playing with kids and dogs, balls, fetch, being near his person, squeaky toys, and bully sticks. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Yes. *Good on a Leash?: Yes. *Lovable?: This breed is incredibly loyal and loving once they feel safe and bonded. *Eager and fast learner?: Yes - especially with consistency and trust-building. Bite History?: No. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'Ghost is a really good loving boy and is eager to please still. You may have to watch your snacks because he loves food but he is still funny and goofy. He will always be there for you rain or shine he always down for an adventure. Or ready to soak up all the pets/scratches he can.' Re Homing because�'�|: Due to work schedule changes, the Current Shepherd Parent is no longer able to provide the time, attention, and consistency Ghost needs to truly thrive. This decision is being made out of love to give him a better life. Ghost will be a great companion for the right person.
