[I do my best to be as accurate as I possibly can in these profiles. I disclose all that is disclosed to me]. [Case opened on 03/18/26]. URGENT!!! Southwest Canton, Ohio. (willing to drive up to not too far / preferably in state). EST 3 Y/O FEMALE SHEPHERD MIX (DOB: Est 03/15/23). Her name is 'Juniper'. Background: Juniper was found as a stray about 1.5 years ago and taken in by her current Shepherd parent. She has been living in a home environment since then. NOT UTD on shots WITHOUT record. Fixed. Good with kids (currently lives with ages 3, 6, and 9 with no issues). Unknown with dogs. Mixed with cats - lives with 3 cats, does great with 2 but is aggressive toward the older cat. House trained. Crate trained (but does not need a crate and can free roam). Any known medical issues?: None known. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: Unknown, but suspected. She was found as a stray and shows signs of possible past abuse, including fear of strangers. ENERGY LEVEL: High. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: Medium. Weighs 68 lbs. Currently on Purina Pro Plan dog food. Good with car rides?: Yes. Socialized with: *people?: Limited. *dogs?: No. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): No - Juniper has stranger fear, tends to bark and hide around new people. Loves: Running, fetch, chilling on the couch, playing with kids, balls, sleeping in bed with her person, being near her person, bones, and treats. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Unknown. *Good on a Leash?: No - leash skills need work. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: None reported. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'She is a sweet girl. I hate that I have to rehome her.' Re Homing because�'�|: Juniper is being rehomed due to aggression toward one of the cats in the home. The current Shepherd parent wants to ensure a safe environment for all animals and feels Juniper would do best in a different setting. Juniper will be a great companion for the right person. Will thrive best�'�|?: In a loving, patient home with NO cats, with someone who understands Fear-Based behaviors and is willing to help her build confidence. If placed in a home with small children, she should be monitored and supervised until she is fully comfortable and acclimated, and the kids MUST know how to respect her and her boundaries!
