Two years ago, we had a son. Jeff doted on him from birth, always sleeping next to him. When he started walking, this changed. She became extremely wary of him. Three weeks ago, I was in the backyard with Jeff and our other large hound dog and my toddler. I stepped inside for no more than thirty seconds, and heard growling. When I rushed back to the yard, my son has been bitten. I'm not sure if one of them bit him on purpose or if he got in the middle of them fighting, but either way I can't keep them around my son any longer. This is absolutely heartbreaking. We rescued Jeff in 2019 and she has been a wonderful little companion ever since. Although she's not great with all other dogs (especially small dogs), she had never shown aggression towards a human. She's a sweet girl and deserves a loving home, but I just can't take the risk with my son in the house. She would make a good only dog, with no kids in the house. She loves to travel and loves soft pillows.
