About CASH

CASH is a beautiful 1 year old, 8.4 pound chocolate Mini Poodle surrendered to find a new home. He is a quiet, low-key little guy who is still building confidence, but he is making steady progress and becoming sweeter and more comfortable every day. CASH is a sweet, gentle little boy who can be a bit shy at first, but he is such a wonderful dog. He is loving and affectionate once he feels safe but still may run a little when you need to catch him. He is getting better and is learning to come on his own but needs encouragement and calm energy from his person. He really just wants to be loved and would make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a dog to relax on the couch with and shower with affection. He may have a little separation anxiety in a home where someone is gone a lot, so he would likely do best with a person who is home more often. CASH gets along well with other dogs and has started to come out of his shell more and more. He has played some with his smaller foster siblings, though he is not especially high energy. He has not shown much interest in toys yet but he didn't come from a situation where he had a lot of opportunity to play. We believe his best home is going to be with another small calm dog that will help him gain confidence. He will not be comfortable in home with younger children and cats are an unknown but should be fine. CASH is working on potty training and has made good progress with going outside. His foster has been walking out with him and watching him go, which has been helping. He will still sometimes have an accident, so he is not fully housebroken yet, but with continued encouragement and positive reinforcement he should catch on. As he may run from his person when he is unsure or scared, a fenced yard is required. He rides very well in the car and loves to go for rides. At night, CASH sleeps in the big bed beside his person or up above their head, and during the day he loves relaxing nearby on the couch. CASH is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Important - check your spam folder for follow up questions and responses from our team. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola). We do not ship or transport our dogs.
