This gorgeous girl is Galana a nine year old Siamese/Domestic Mix. Formerly a stray roaming a Chesterfield County subdivision looking for a safe harbor for herself and her many litters of kittens, Galana is and has been since November of 2020 been an indoor only gal. She was delivered to me by her feeder shortly after Election Day in 2020. Trapped with her two surviving kittens, Galana took up residence in my house and shortly thereafter delivered what would be her last litter of kittens, a group of nine, six of whom were stillborn, two of whom died at day three and five and one who I ultimately removed from Galana's care and bottle feed as dear Galana had no milk, her body exhausted from two litters so very close together. Sadly in August of 2021, Galana as well as all of my rescues were evacuated from my residence following a tree hit that collapsed my upstairs. She and her fellow rescues became residents of a vacant office that I own. She has recently joined me in my hotel room as my residence suffered both a pipe burst and another tree hit and is finally nearing completion. Galana has been beyond tickled to again sleep on a big girl bed, snuggle within her polar bear cat cave and enjoy sunbeams. Do not let her rubenesque/odalisque frame scare you, as seen in her photo she is an avid exerciser, favoring leg lifts which she can hold for minutes on end. As for her crumpled right ear it a result of an untreated hematoma while she was a stray and does not bother her rather it gives her character as a survivor. While she enjoys her leg lifts/stretches she does not frown on those who do not desire to workout with her. She currently resides with other kitties and two dogs, one sixty pounder and one forty pounder. Galana enjoys playing with toys of all varieties but find the most enjoyment in lounging, though who wouldn't when you spent the first four to five years of your life scavenging for food and shelter for yourself and your numerous litters of kittens. Observing the goings on of out of doors from the safety of her indoor condo and desk vantage points offer excitement in her day. Meal times are her favorite times of day happily going plate to plate enjoying tasty morsels. Spayed, rabies and distemper vaccinated, combo tested negative for both feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus and microchipped this big rescue girl is ready for a human she can call her very own. One with whom she can share a sofa while watching Hallmark Movies or this time of year March Madness as she is intrigued by the ball movement. If you are in the lookout for a robust, blue eyed beauty who can gracefully point her toes when doing her leg lift exercises, Galana could well be the kitty girl for you. Feel free to call me if interested in her. I do when possible like to receive a vet reference for potential adopters.
