Bernie is a miniature Bernerdoodle just over 10 pounds are 6 months old. He was a transport to our rescue from a not so great breeding facility. This little boy has spent his life so far living in a cage waiting to be sold for profit. At some point in his stay there he must have had some kind of eye injury as he is missing an eye. We do not know when or what happened but can tell this was not a recent injury. He does just fine with one eye and this of course will not affect his life as a normal happy pet. Bernie is a bit timid at first until he gets comfortable in his environment. He will do best in a home with a fur sibling to show him the ropes. Please keep in mind he has not lived in a home yet and will need time and patience to adjust, this is why a fur sibling that is kind and gentle would be best for him. Bernie is not leash trained and it will take him some time to adjust to a harness and leash so a secure fenced yard will be required to adopt him. Bernie will be heading to our vet for his full vetting. At this appointment he will be neutered, vaccinations, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and if our vet deams it best to surgically close the eye that is missing to prevent any issues then we will have that done while hes under being neutered. will then be available for adoption.
