About Marley

This handsome 3-4 year old male Black Lab mix came to us along with the rest of his little family - his girlfriend and their seven puppies. He has since been neutered and is now ready to find a home of his own where he can finally relax and be someone's loyal companion. He is a very well-mannered boy who already knows several commands including sit, come here, and down. He is extremely potty trained and keeps his kennel very clean. He is also learning to walk on a leash and is doing wonderfully with little to no pulling. Personality-wise, he is incredibly sweet and gentle with people. He shows no possessiveness or aggression with toys and has been nothing but kind and cooperative with the humans caring for him. Right now, the shelter environment is a bit overwhelming for him and he is understandably scared and unsure around other dogs. We believe he may have only ever lived with his girlfriend and may not have had much exposure to other dogs before coming to the shelter. Our team is working with him and giving him time, patience, and positive experiences to help him adjust. Because of this, he is currently being listed as available as an only dog, though with time and the right introductions he may continue to grow more comfortable. What truly stands out about him is his beautiful, gentle personality. He is the type of dog who forms strong bonds with his people and will thrive in a calm, loving home that can give him the reassurance and stability he deserves.
