About WOOLLY

Woolly came to us from Yuma and is sweet and friendly boy when he knows what to expect and with a predictable schedule and trusted human but does take a month or more to really settle in. He has not had any documented bites but can be snappy when he is rushed or doesn't understand what is happening, however he usually does provide clear cues/signals when he feels uncomfortable (growling) but needs someone who understands. Due to this potential, he would be best with no children or with older kids (12+) who are dog savvy. He seems to prefer male (humans) but will adapt and warm to females also after a few days and lots of patience. He loves most other dogs but can be a little pushy so would be better with a more submissive or neutral friend. Woolly is estimated as 8 years old and is 14 lbs. Woolly does great on a leash and seems to be house trained though does mark inside and outside so will need to be managed (though this also improves with time!). He loves earning treats and attention so is easily trainable. He adjusted well to a new potty routine and does fine in a crate. He will likely need to be muzzled at the vet and groomer and has gotten more familiar with the process. He is neutered and fully vaccinated and microchipped.
