Bass is a sensitive, gentle soul who forms deep bonds with her people and lives for quiet comfort and affection. She is shy, cuddly, and very attached to her humans, preferring to cuddle close rather than being held tightly. Bass is fearful of new people at first and may bark when unsure, but she is not aggressive - she will retreat, hide, or slowly work up the courage to approach once she feels safe, especially if people avoid direct eye contact and allow her to move at her own pace. With time and patience, she warms up and reveals herself to be a total lovebug who adores belly rubs and soft affection, often using her paw to gently ask for more. She does best in calm environments and is happiest as a relaxed couch companion. Bass is sensitive to loud noises such as thunder and fireworks and does best in a quiet, predictable setting. She has sensitive skin and currently does well on allergy medication and a salmon based diet. Her ideal home would be a quiet, low traffic, single dog household (not an apartment or busy area) with soft spaces, routine, and a patient adopter who will let her build confidence at her own pace.
