About Stan

When the shelter gets over-capacity, I may be made to 'disappear', tragically, be no more, since am considered a longer-term doggie and was left here by my human. I am only probably about 6 years young, good age, since have pep, but not that puppy/teen kind of pep, which for some humans can be too much pep. I know my basics, am a calm doggy, take my treats gently, like doggie toys, love to cuddle. Am a volunteer favorite since am so easy going. I met some doggies on leash, sniff around some, not the pushy type. I got lucky and had a doggie day out in the city with a volunteer. I was very polite while meeting people, walked well on leash, and self-entertained myself with a doggie toy while my sweetheart volunteer had coffee and read the paper. While out and about, saw some doggies, was easily redirected. Please come visit me. Fall in love with me, I with you. Take me home? Come. Human speaking here now, please, please, if have the ability to adopt, even foster Stan (different process, I can explain), any of the dogs listed at the shelter on here, many more that aren't listed, come out to Chicago Animal Care and Control, to meet them. These dogs aren't 'just' at risk of being euthanized, tragic on its own, but spend most of their time in their kennels, which is a tragedy upon a tragedy to be locked up so much. It shows what great dogs they are, that they are able to still continue to be great, even though caged up for much of the time. Please, come out.
