Courtesy Posting: ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA- BEAUTIFUL AFFECTIONATE FEMALE 43 LB CHOW X 'DAISY' IN NEED OF A LOVING, FOREVER HOME AFTER BEING SAVED FROM A NEARBY KILL SHELTER WHERE SHE WAS FACING EUTHANASIA for space. Please help us find a loving, forever home for this petite girl fondly named Daisy who is perfectly sized and has a beautiful deep red coat with an amazing black shawl. Estimated to be near 4 years old now, Daisy was saved from a S Cal high kill shelter by a Good Samaritan who offered to foster her to save her life. The foster was then paired by shelter networkers with an out of state rescue, but this supposed rescue sadly later disappeared, leaving the foster and Daisy stranded. We are therefore trying to help in this dire situation as the foster has other dogs she is caring for, and is unable to foster and save others until we can find Daisy the wonderful home she deserves. This good Samaritan foster has also taken over her care and ownership, and kindly paid for Daisy to be vetted and spayed, and has many great things to say about her: 'She is good with people and other dogs and best to introduce her to a new dog slowly beginning with a dog who is calm and submissive. She is very calm and quiet. Not a barker. She currently cohabitates with a 50-pound pitbull mix and two other dogs, one 65 and and one 80 pound both chow chow German shepherd mixes. Daisy is fun and loves to be around people and well adjusted. I feel she would do best as an only dog so she can blossom without interference of another dog taking all the attention that she probably is craving. She is more on the timid side and is walked twice daily, current on all her shots and spayed.' Daisy's dna was also done and she is mostly chow and cattle dog. with a little shepherd sprinkled in giving her many nice qualities of each breed. Daisy has lived as an indoor dog and is Hundred percent potty trained according to her foster. She has no medical issues and her foster said she is not a biter, but mentioned she can have some alpha tendencies with other dogs like many cattle dogs do, and why they felt she would be better as an only dog. However, Daisy is friends with other dogs and we have several nice videos to share. If you are interested in meeting and adopting this sweet beauty, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is assisting with her placement.
