Oso is looking for a patient, experienced home. He currently lives in a large outdoor kennel in our backyard, and although we care for him deeply, we cannot give him the time, training, or socialization he truly needs. He is the half'sibling of our mastiff, and we simply cannot afford or manage a second large dog with higher needs. Oso has not been well socialized and can be reactive and defensive around unfamiliar people. He has bitten two individuals in situations where he felt threatened, so he will need someone experienced with dogs who have behavioral challenges. Despite this, Oso is not a bad dog-he is a dog who needs structure, patience, and consistent attention that we cannot provide. We do not want to surrender him to a shelter where he may not have a chance, and we are actively searching for: A no'kill rescue experienced with behavioral cases, or An individual who understands reactive dogs and is willing to work with him. Oso deserves a chance with someone who can help him feel safe and supported. If you or someone you know can offer him the time and commitment he needs, please reach out.
