She was left at a pet emergency hospital suffering from a painful vaginal prolapse. With no family and a serious injury, she was facing imminent euthanasia. But the veterinary staff saw something special in her. Even through all that pain, Himiko was nothing but sweet, gentle, and loving. They couldn't bear to let her story end there, so they reached out to The Misfit Ranch for help. We stepped in, covered her surgery, and placed her in a loving foster home where she has absolutely flourished. Today, Himiko is a happy, healthy, 50-pound love bug with a heart as big as her adorable boxer smile. Her favorite thing in the world? People. She gives the most epic hugs, leaning her whole body into you while gazing up like you are the greatest person who has ever lived. It's the kind of love that instantly melts your heart.
