Courtesy Posting: Help, emergency foster needed today or she is shelter bound! FOUND W NO COLLAR IN GILBERT, AZ (nr PHOENIX)- younger, beautiful female chow, likely dumped�'�| we need a foster, foster to adopt and or rescue to step in/up ASAP so she does not end up at the Maricopa County shelter where she will likely not have long and be made Rescue only. Finder can only hold today!!! A Good Samaritan found this girl 3.6 running scared and was finally able to get her in her car, and later her apartment. She was very scared and shy initially, but has since warmed up. She now allows some handling and interacts well with the finder's male dog. However, the finder's landlord wants her gone today. Please note posts on social media have been up for several days and no owner has been found. We are therefore calling her Honey. We are now in desperate need of an immediate foster, or even temporary foster, in the general area, and or a rescue so the finder does not need to take this shy girl to the county shelter where she will be at great risk and probably not made adoptable due to being a chow who is wary of strangers. A foster to adopt situation would also be considered. We are looking into someone who can sponsor vaccinations, and spay. We can also raise additional funds for a rescue group, but a foster is needed now so she has a place to go. Chow experience would be ideal, as she is shy and wary of strangers like many chows, but warming up already. We also have several nice videos of this Honey girl interacting with other dogs. If you may be able to foster, even temporarily, or help in some other way (transport, pledge towards his rescue and medical), please contact Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network ASAP at [email protected] who is trying to find immediate placement for dear Honey. Time is of the essence. She cannot be sent to someone however unless you are backed by a rescue group, and only after a legal stray hold ends.
