Updated description: Zelda is a little over a year old. I rescued her from a neighbor who had too many dogs and was willing to give her to me. All I know for sure is that she is 1/4 Siberian Husky. Her mother appeared to be a husky x Pyrenees mix while her father appeared to be a GSD mix. She is spayed and got the full puppy package from shotvet at the beginning of this year (2026). Zelda is highly social with other dogs. I've never seen her display any angry body language, nor have I ever heard her growl. She's a very happy-go-lucky dog and wants to befriend every dog she meets. Some dogs find her to be rude due to her poor 'doggy manners' like approaching head-on rather than from the side. That being said, she is very appeasing towards dogs that get angry at her. My older female enforced boundaries on her pretty hard and she didn't even attempt to fight back. Zero fight in this one, she's all play. Zelda is leash reactive, in that she gets very frustrated when she is unable to greet other humans or dogs. I have been working with her on this and she has made some progress. She is clicker trained and knows some basic obedience (sit, down, leave it) plus she is crate trained (she will come with her crate). Shes very food motivated and intelligent. As for her energy level, she is a very active dog but she does have an 'off switch' so she's pretty decent at matching energy levels. I wouldn't put her on the same level as a malinois or any dogs like that. That being said, she does need to be exercised and trained. I've found a good walk and some obedience training is enough to wear her out. Due to her highly social nature, I am requiring that potential adopters have a dog in the home already. She has never been without other dogs and gets very anxious without their presence. Any dog will do, she's not picky at all. She can hop a 4ft fence so a 6ft fenced yard is required. I will also need to see the home where she is going. I refuse to send her anywhere but up, materially speaking. Wherever she goes, it needs to be better than or equal to my home. I'm not in a rush to rehome her so I will be picky, sorry. I need her next home to be ideal. I'd rather not adopt her out in Valencia County. Sorry but it's way too sketchy rehoming dogs here and I'm not trying to lose sleep over this. If you're in Valencia county I suggest going to the Valencia County Animal Shelter to find a dog as there are many good ones that need homes more than she does.
