Hello! This is Boomer, a 9 year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi with a big smile and heart of gold. He comes from a family that loves him a lot but there will soon be small children around and he is in need of a mellower environment. Boomer is loyal, observant, and deeply devoted to his people. He thrives on daily fetch sessions and maybe a light walk around the neighborhood and feels most secure in a calm, low-key home. He also loves riding in the truck and would make a good friend for occasional adventures in nature. He is seeking an adult household where he can fetch a ball endlessly and run around outside at his leisure. He does have a stubborn corgi side and can be very determined when he sets his mind to something. He is not a good fit for homes with small children or cats but may be able to live with other dogs who respect his space, and has done well in the past around farm animals as well. He does have bad knees but takes a daily carprofen (dog Advil) for his pain management and is still a very active corgi. He is usually kenneled at bedtime but otherwise prefers to be outside in the yard getting a suntan, napping or playing fetch. Boomer is kennel, leash/harness and potty trained and knows sit, come, out (when you need him to go outside), kennel, load up (with the assist of stairs, which I will provide). He can also spin and stand up on his back legs, especially for a treat! He is neutered and current on vaccines. If you're ready to offer a peaceful, loving home and receive loyal companionship in return, Boomer may be your perfect match. Application, rehoming fee ($50) and adoption contract are required.
