About Percy

��%8D� I don't really understand how I'm still here�'�| but my name is Percy. ��%8D� I'm 2 years old, and everyone who spends time with me says the same thing: 'What a beautiful, good boy.' I keep a clean kennel. I don't jump on people. And when someone sits beside me, I'm happiest just leaning in and quietly soaking up the attention. The shelter is still a big, noisy place for me, so I can be a little timid at first. But the moment I realize someone is kind, my whole face softens and I settle right beside them like we've known each other forever. One of my favorite days here was my Doggy Day Out. I went for a long walk, smelled absolutely everything, and enjoyed some sunshine. I even got a pup cup (which I now strongly recommend as a daily routine). At one point I posed in the back of a truck like a total model and showed off one of my biggest smiles. For a little while, I got to feel like someone's dog. The volunteers think I'm a Cattle Dog mix, which means I'm smart and probably going to love a home where I can get exercise, explore, and use my brain. Dogs like me are happiest when we have something to do and someone to do it with. But more than anything, I just want what every dog wants. A place where I belong. A person who chooses me.
