About Darla

Darla - The Wiggle Bug Who's Ready for Her Happy Ending Some pups come into the world with an easy path...and some, like Darla, have to fight a little harder to find their way. This completely adorable wiggle bug began her life in a wash surrounded by unhoused individuals and dogs who had lost their way and hope. It wasn't the start any dog deserves, and when Darla first arrived with us she was shy, unsure, and just trying to figure out if the world could be a safe place. But oh, how this girl has blossomed. Give Darla a little time and once you're in her 'circle,' she absolutely lights up. Her whole body wiggles with excitement when she sees someone she knows, and she greets her friends with the happiest of energy you've ever seen. It's impossible not to smile when Darla is doing her signature wiggle dance. Our girl is a little on the chonky side right now (more to love, obviously), but with an active family and some fun adventures, those extra pounds will melt away in no time. What Darla really needs is a home that will show her all the good things she missed early on - walks, sunshine, belly rubs, and the simple joy of belonging. Darla would thrive in a home with another confident, friendly pup who can show her the ropes and help her continue building her confidence.
