About Ruby

Beautiful Redbone Coonhound Looking for a Loving Home Ruby is a beautiful female redbone coonhound. Both of her parents were registered purebred redbones, although we do not have her papers. She is house-trained and very smart - she rings a bell when she needs to go outside. Ruby has a lively personality and would do best in a home with space to run, ideally in the country or with someone familiar with hounds. My sister loves Ruby very much, but she has recently started working 12-hour night shifts and is no longer able to give Ruby the time and attention she deserves. We want to make sure she finds a safe, caring home where she can thrive. Ruby would likely make a great hunting companion or an active family dog for someone who understands the energy and instincts of the breed. I don't live close by, but I am helping coordinate finding her a home. I'm happy to answer questions and arrange a time for serious adopters to meet Ruby.
