About Goldie

Adoption Fee: $75
Australian Cattle Dog / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. 1 year old, approximately, Australian Cattle Dog mix. Goldie is puppy pad trained because she spends most of her time in the house. She does go outside to do her business but because she is not spayed, we don't let her out unless she's supervised. She does not get along with our older spayed females, but she gets along with our two outside working dogs who are neutered males. She is used to being an inside dog. She is not used to human children or human males but she is not aggressive toward people. She did get into trouble chasing horses, which is also why she's kept inside much of the time. We live in a rural community and our neighbors own horses. She needs to be able to go outside and have fun instead of being stuck inside with three old ladies. Goldie is currently eating Rachel Ray's Beef and Rice Dry Dog food, supplemented with a cup or two of whole milk. She also gets Pedigree wet dog food, a can a day with her dry food. And she always has fresh water. If we cannot get Rachel Ray Beef and Rice, we try Pedigree dry high protein dog food which is adequate but only in emergencies. For treats she gets dog biscuits, one or two Walmart Great Value Vanilla Sandwich Cookies, and occasionally a few Cheese Puffs, and she loves plain air-popped popcorn. She's polite and doesn't snatch food. But she does rear up and that is another reason we have to find her a new home. We cannot afford to fall down at our ages. We hate giving her up because she is a pretty dog with a sweet personality when the other dogs aren't around. But she does not like sharing us. She tries to be a lap dog but is content with putting her head on your lap to get some affection. Please consider adopting her soon. Thank you for reading about Goldie.
