(willing to drive up to 1.5 hours). 2 Y/O FEMALE GSD MIX (DOB: 12/27/23). Her name is 'Adeline'. Background: Adeline has been with the current Shepherd parent since she was weaned as a puppy. UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed. Good with kids. Good with dogs. NOT Good with cats. NOT House trained (currently kept separately in a sunroom). Crate trained. Any known medical issues?: None known. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: None reported. ENERGY LEVEL: Medium. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: Very High (toward small animals). Weighs 50 lbs. Currently on Pedigree dog food. Good with car rides?: Yes. Socialized with: *people?: Yes. *dogs?: Yes. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Yes. Loves: Playing with other dogs, getting attention, digging, cuddling, walks, playing with kids, balls, fetch, toys, treats, bones, and being near her person. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): No - recall needs work. *Good on a Leash?: Yes. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: None reported. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'Adeline is a very sweet girl who loves people and other dogs. She was a stillborn from a surprise litter that was brought back to life by puppy cpr and vigorous rubbing. Unfortunately her mother did not survive from other berthing complications so Adeline was bottle fed until old enough for a new home (me). A friend reached out to me with Adelines story and knew that I had other Shepherds so I knew how to care for the breed. Adeline is the happiest go lucky dog you'd ever meet, although she's ditsy I was able to crate train her, she also walks well on a leash and knows how to sit. She does have a decent recall but needs work when distractions are present.' Re Homing because�'�|: The current Shepherd parent does not have the time or resources to work with Adeline on her prey drive toward small animals. They have cats and other small animals in the home and cannot risk any more animals being harmed. Adeline will be a great companion for the right person. Important behavior notes: Adeline has killed two cats and a turtle due to her extremely high prey drive toward small animals. She also currently shows some destructive behaviors, which may improve once she lives inside the home with yhe guidance she needs as part of the family. Will thrive best�'�|?: Adeline needs an experienced Person familiar with High Prey Drive Behavior, a home with NO small animals or cats, and someone willing to provide structure, exercise, and bring her into the family environment so she can properly bond and thrive.
