About BABY

Adoption Fee: $500
Jack Russell
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

BABY is a 4-year-old, 16-pound Shorty Jack with a big personality packed into her small frame. She came into rescue after her owner passed away. She's looking for a home that can give her plenty of love, activity, and routine. BABY is an outgoing, affectionate little dog who wants nothing more than to be with her people. She thrives on attention, loves to snuggle, and happily follows her humans from room to room. Because she bonds so strongly, she can experience some separation anxiety and prefers to be wherever you are. She is friendly with strangers and does well with children, making her a great companion for a family that enjoys having a dog involved in everyday life. She is high energy and loves activity and needs a home that keeps her moving! BABY enjoys the company of dogs her own size and plays well with them. Around larger dogs, she may growl or nip if she feels overwhelmed, so a home with small, playful canine companions-or as an only dog as long as she has lots of attention and activity-would be ideal. She has a strong prey drive and will chase cats, chickens, and other small animals, so a home without those would be best. BABY is housebroken when kept on a regular schedule and will also use a potty pad if needed. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys going on walks and exploring. Because of her curiosity and energy level, she will need a securely fenced yard where she can safely run and play. BABY is very smart, eager to please, and already knows several tricks including sit, stay, and sit pretty. Her foster family is teaching her some more commands and she responds well to treats and positive reinforcement. At night, BABY happily sleeps in the big bed with her people. BABY is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
