TIA is a 4-year-old, 22%BD-pound Frenchton (French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix) who came to us through another rescue after being removed from a backyard breeding situation. When they went to pick her up, they discovered she was pregnant. Because they did not have a place to care for a pregnant mom, they asked if we could take her. Sadly, likely due to malnutrition and neglect, Tia lost her puppies and nearly lost her life in the process. After a lot of care and recovery time, she is now healthy and ready to find the loving home she deserves. TIA is a very quiet, easygoing girl who loves being close to her people. She is not overly clingy but definitely wants to be near her human and will often rest her head in your lap for a little attention. She enjoys having her head rubbed, though she's not big on constant snuggles and kisses. She is happiest just relaxing nearby and keeping you company. TIA lives with several dogs in her foster home and gets along with them well. She especially enjoys the company of the two Frenchies and will play with them, though she mostly keeps to herself around the other dogs. She would likely do well with another laid-back dog but would also be perfectly content soaking up attention as an only dog. She is good with kids, cats are unknown. TIA is house trained and uses the dog door. She is a low-energy girl and very much a couch potato. She enjoys being outside and loves rolling around in the grass. She gets excited when her people come home but otherwise spends most of her day lounging. At night, TIA sleeps wherever she chooses, most often with her foster mom's daughter. Like many bulldog types, she also snores when she falls into a deep sleep. TIA is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. When she arrived, she also had an issue with one of her eyes that appeared to be the result of either an old injury or a congenital defect. To prevent the possibility of infection, the decision was made to surgically remove the eye. She recovered beautifully and it does not slow her down at all. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
