About Ruger

Ruger is 9yrs old but, thinks he's about 4. He is an uncommon silver & black goofy, food motivated typical GSD. Slowly recovering from ear issues. Ruger does well with all humans (older adults and small children) he has had contact with, is curious about cats and loves to chase squirrels. He is slowly warming up to being 'loved on' but, only tolerates it in small doses. Ruger knows basic commands and can be a counter surfer if not monitored. He is house and crate trained. His previous owner passed away and a family member was 'taking care of him' but, from his response to physical affection, it appears that he did not receive much attention. Ruger can be 'dog selective' and would thrive best in a home where he doesn't have to share his human with any other dog. Ruger is currently being fostered by an individual as a favor to the owner's daughter. Personal health issues and changing living arrangements are forcing his foster to resort to this platform to find Ruger his forever home. Could that be you?
