Loki is a prominent figure in Norse mythology, often referred to as the 'trickster god.' He embodies mischief, chaos, cunning, and the ability to shape-shift. Although he is frequently linked to the Old Norse word logi, meaning 'fire,' or l%BCka, which means 'to close/end'-reflecting his involvement in Ragnar%BD k-his name primarily denotes a multifaceted, liminal character who serves as both a helper and a foe to the gods. Loki experienced a significant family upheaval when his human mother passed away unexpectedly, leaving his father to manage everything alone. Loki is the father of a 4-year-old named Magnus. Both father and son are in search of a new home. Due to life changes, financial constraints, and the inability to care for the boys, they find themselves in urgent need of a new family, ideally one with a cozy couch or a soft bed to rest on. Yesterday, Loki arrived and has already claimed a spot on the human foster bed alongside his two foster siblings. He blended in seamlessly, as if he had always belonged there. Despite his impressive weight of 80 pounds, he has shown himself to be gentle and affectionate. He eagerly explored his new foster home and was thrilled to discover he had access to a doggy door, allowing him to go outside at his leisure. Having grown up around children and other dogs, including many puppies, he is still a young boy at 5 years old, with a playful spirit reminiscent of a 3-year-old! You simply must meet Loki, who is currently fostered in the San Marcos area of Escondido. He is neutered and has a docked tail.
