Meet Lottie !! This sweet girl is looking for a great new home. She found herself in a shelter and was very scared. Since coming to us she's really blossomed into a fantastic companion. Lottie is a approx 2 year old female. She looks like a Yorkie mix. She weighs 11 Pounds and full grown. She will be spayed, be up to date on vaccines and microchipped as part of her adoption. She is heartworm negative and on monthly preventions. Lottie is a bit shy at first but she very quickly adapts to a safe place and relaxes. She's been very easy to have around. Her foster says she is a whole lotta awesome! She has been very good with her training so far. She has done very well with potty training. She was perfect on all car rides. She does well with leash walking and is also crate trained. She did so well adjusting to her foster home quickly. Lottie has done well with all the dogs she's met both big and small. She is not afraid to get vocal if she feels that they cross her physical boundaries. She has also done very well with cats and does not chase them. She's had an occasional growl if they get around her kennel when she's inside but aside from that she's done good. She does okay with kids but needs older kids that can give her space. She does not do well with being cornered or grabbed without warning. It's very easy to manage but kids need to be old enough to understand this and adhere to it. (More details below) She has a low to medium energy level and would be great for a senior home or many types of families. She has spunky moments where she likes to run around the yard but nothing too energetic. She's definitely looking for love and likes to hang out which you. Lottie hasn't shown any issues sharing food, treats, or toys with humans or other pets. Her only downside is she gets 'spicy' when she feels cornered or is restrained, especially by someone she doesn't know (aka the vet!). Because of this, Lottie had to be muzzled for her vet work (even though she was perfectly okay with her foster mom putting her muzzle on). The second she was free from restraint, she was immediately back to her cheerful, sweet self, no grudges. It's all fear related and she needs someone that understands this. Her foster says is just about as perfect as it gets. She is fairly chill, very well behaved, and would do well in a variety of living situations. Vet and home checks required. Located in Hampton VA. (She will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) '%BC%8FPlease message us directly at [email protected] with questions or to get an application.
