(Almost) 2 Y/O MALE GSD (DOB: 04/05/24). His name is 'Richard'. Background: Current Shepherd parent rescued Richard from his Previous Person, (patient) at the hospital where she works after he said he was going to kill him. She stepped in to save his life. UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed. Unknown with kids. Good with dogs. NOT Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained. Any known medical issues?: None known. Has just been to the vet and got a check up and up to date on his vaccines. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: Yes. Previous Person was homeless and neglected Richard. He has visible scars on his face, and z split in his L ear. ENERGY LEVEL: High. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: Medium. Weighs 64 lbs. Currently on 4Health dog food. Good with car rides?: Yes. Socialized with: *people?: Yes. *dogs?: Yes. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Yes. Loves: Toys, food, other dogs, cuddling, walks, chilling on the couch, playing with other dogs, balls, fetch, sleeping in bed with his person, and being close to his person. Also enjoys bones and chew toys. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Yes, recall is good. *Good on a Leash?: Yes. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: Yes - accidental. Richard was attempting to mate with a female dog and accidentally bit his previous person during the situation. The previous Shepherd Parent then went to the hospital and filed a report and threatened to kill Richard. This was when the Current Shepherd Parent/Foster stepped in and saved him. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'Richard is a good boy.I took him in 3 weeks now.And he did a 360 he just needs somebody that loves him and just get him.The attention that he needs.' This poor guy has had a hard life and it's time for him to live a happy life full of love and kindness. He is such a happy and sweet guy and deserves the best.
