About Scout

Scout and Panda came to us as owner surrenders because their family was going a divorce and could no longer care for them- Scout is the spokesperson of the duo...more vocal and not afraid to let you know exactly how he feels-especially if he is unsure at first. He just needs someone to give him time and show that you are consistent, and then he is friendly. Once you gain his trust he turns into a big softie and seems to be a velcro dog. Both are having trouble and are being timid in the kennel, and have shown some growling ( no biting), but are improving when they are taken out of the kennel. Scout accepts treats readily and is playful outside of the kennel scenario. He is very healthy and will be neutered and brought up to date with vaccines by the shelter. They're currently not available for adoption because they need someone who can give them a little patience and time, and it's difficult to do this with strangers on the adoption floor. we are looking for an Aussie savvy adopter or foster who can give this boy the patience and training he deserves and needs. Fenced yard is a must another kind dog should be ok, not an in your face pushy dog. Or perhaps no other dog. They will need some training and most importantly time to adapt to a new situation.
