About JUNO

Juno is a 4 yr old Husky/German Shepard who is spayed and weighs 40lbs. She is quiet for her breed, very curious and loves being outside exploring. Initially she can be reactive around other dogs but tends to settle once she gets used to them. This is largely due to being attacked by an off leash dog while she was sleeping in our yard. She was on a long leash and our yard was not fenced. Since then she has been anxious around dogs, especially if they are off leash and approach her. She loves people and children. She is a sweet girl, never barks at the doorbell, she is not hyper or whiny. She likes her own space. She walks 2X daily and does well on a leash. She does great in the car. She is a calm and cautious dog. She is very smart. She likes to make her own decisions but when we are firm she does obey. She quietly enters a room or leaves a room, oftentimes without us knowing. She needs time and patience to get used to a new environment. We adopted Juno when she was 1.5 years old. Juno gets a lot of attention in public. It is not uncommon for someone driving by to stop, roll down their window to comment on what a beautiful dog she is. She has been a joy and this is a heartbreaking decision. We want what is best for Juno so we made the decision to find her a loving, safe home. We need to relocate due to a job loss and are temporally staying with family in an apartment. Thank you.
