About Rio

Rio is still searching for his family! He loves his foster family, and they love him back. However he's really overdue to find his forever home. If you live in CT and would like to adopt Rio, please fill out our online application: https://www.allaboutthedogsrescue.org/get-involved Rio came to us as an owner surrender when his family was losing their home to eviction. He was one of a number of dogs in the home that needed new homes, and we were able to take 3 of them. The other two dogs were adopted, but Rio is still waiting. He's a young dog, a rat terrier mix about 3 years old, who will be a great addition to a family! he is not a large dog - he weighs only about 20 lbs. Rio is a friendly boy who is somewhat timid when he first meets new people or encounters new situations. He warms up quickly! There's no aggression - he's just a little scared at first. He loves other dogs and we would like to see him in a home with at least one other dog. He was best friends with a dog in his former home, and seems to love having a canine companion or two. He would be happy to live with children 10 years old or older. He is neutered and up to date with vaccines. Rio is a wonderful boy who will make a great family member!
