Seeking foster to adopt family. Valentina. approximately 3-4 yr old female Saint Bernard. Spayed and UTD on vet care, vaccines & preventatives. Good with other large dogs. Good with dog savvy cats. Kids 10+ yrs old. Housebroken & crate trained. Located in temporary foster home in Nashville TN area Ready to be schmoozed by a sweet young saint who loves to snuggle?�%A0 This young gal just wants regular meals, treats, a couch to snooze on, and a yard to enjoy.�%A0 She is housebroken and knows the word kennel means go into her crate and get yummy treats!�%A0 Due to being a stray and needing to fend for herself, she is VERY food driven, which is completely understandable! Gentle isn't in her vocabulary YET when it comes to food. Due to her chew first, sniff later way of taking treats and eating, young children will not be a good fit.�%A0 However children 10 years and older, especially those who have lived with another giant breed, would be more attention for Valentina to soak up.�%A0 Valentina has had some leash training in her past, but she needs reminding and training.�%A0 This smart girl wants to please and will learn quickly!�%A0 If you have food, she tends to remember better. �%A0�%A0 Valentina has enjoyed playing with the other like sized dogs in her foster home. She could also be happy as an only dog. Unfortunately being extremely underweight is not Valentina's only health issue, she also contracted heartworms due to the poor care she received previously. She will need a foster to adopt family willing to see her through her current treatment regimen for the nasty parasites. As is in our basic requirements, your dogs MUST consistently be on heartworm prevention. Once Valentina has completed her treatment and is deemed free of heartworms, then if all parties are agreeable that it's a good fit, her foster to adopt family can adopt her. We pay for her necessary vet care including heartworm treatment and heartworm testing while being fostered. We currently are open to qualified foster to adopt families in TN GA AL MO MS KY OH IN IL SC NC VA WV MD DE PA and can provide transport help to these states. Please understand we are not open to other states due to not having the resources there nor the volunteers to transport to that state.
