Zoe is a beautiful lab/rot mix who is great with people of all ages, is well behaved, does great off-leash, has great recall, and who always has a noticably happy spirit. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She is a senior dog but is still energetic and determined to play ball at all times and with every person she meets. Zoe was at one time socialized with other dogs, always the best behaved girl at the dog park or daycare! However, she has gotten into two fights in her foster home and has been kept separate from all other dogs for several months now. She will do best in a home without other pets. Zoe has had a rough life from what we know about her. We know that she survived being shot in the chest with a pellet gun (pellet is still lodged deep inside her chest, too deep to be an accidental shot!), she was abandoned and trapped in a back yard of an empty house for an unknown length of time, she was severely underweight when discovered, she spent a month at the shelter but wasn't selected, and she lived in her foster home for more than a year before finally being adopted. She was adopted by an elderly woman on Christmas, and has had a wonderful life with her ever since.. but her new owner is unable to safely live alone and just transitioned to hospice care. She is now moving to an assisted living facility and Zoe will be returned to her foster home at that time, where she will unfortunately spend a lot of time isolated due to her dog-aggression. Zoe is an AMAZING girl, she deserves for her final years to be her best years so if you are interested in making that happen for her please reach out to me at 5016690449.
