About Bear

Bear is an absolute love bug when it comes to his human mom and dad. He was removed from a neglectful situation where he was underfed and unsocialized around people and other animals. Since his rescue he has shown promise to be the best only pet in a kid free household. He is 60 pounds of constant affection towards humans but has shown aggression towards other dogs and cats. He has not been exposed to children or other animals during his brief stay with his current owners. Because they are unable to give him a safe and loving home they are seeking a committed couple that can work with him to help him become the amazing boy he was always meant to be. Bear is comfortable on any lap he can climb onto and will nuzzle himself right up under that lap owners chin without budging for hours. The current home he is in has another dog and two cats. Because the 4 of them are not getting along the couple is working hard to find him a home as quickly as possible. This situation is not sustainable for much longer. Bear is located in southwestern Virginia and would do well in a rural environment with fenced space to run but be warned his favorite place is in the house with his humans. He is housebroken, neutered, microchipped, heart worm negative and up to date on every possible vaccine. His rescue family spared no expense as they took him in believing he would be with them on their farm for many years to come. The nominal rehoming fee is in place to seek out the best of the best in his furrever home. It will be used towards travel expenses as his mom and dad are willing to negotiate arrangements on how to get him there.
