TIME SENSITIVE 3/3/26 AT 4PM - ZARA NEEDS A HERO Zara (A287822) is a 7-year-old, 42 lb spayed Am Staff mix who is urgently hoping for a second chance outside the shelter. Zara came to PCACC as a stray in January and was sadly never claimed. While she hasn't been in a foster home yet, she has been one of the shelter's trusted office dogs - and she's been an absolute gem. Staff report she appears housebroken, non-destructive, and perfectly content to snooze away much of her day. This sweet girl is polite and friendly on leash and warms up quickly to new people. She has also done well when introduced to other dogs at the shelter, both large and small, making her a wonderful candidate for many homes. Medical note: Zara was diagnosed with chronic dry eye, which requires lifelong eye drops to keep her eyes comfortable and healthy.
