Meet Oatmeal. Approx 20 pounds. She's a 7-year-old miniature poodle who was found in Lucky Park and brought in by 29 Palms Animal Control before making her way to us. When she arrived, it was clear she hadn't been cared for in a long time. Her coat was badly matted. Her nails had grown into her paw pads. She was scared and unsure - and honestly, who wouldn't be? Right now, Oatmeal is still figuring out that she's safe. She's wary of handling and needs someone who understands that trust doesn't come overnight. She'll need a patient, gentle home willing to move at her pace and let her set the timeline. The good news? Even in her fear, there's a softness there. She wants to feel safe. She just doesn't know how yet. With slow introductions, steady kindness, and someone who won't rush her, Oatmeal has every chance to bloom. She's a little dog who's had a hard stretch and deserves a soft landing.
