Joey may be his name but he's earned the title of Mr. Congeniality! It didn't start that way. On arrival, Joey was skittish when approached, fearfully backing away when we attempted to greet him. With other dogs, it was a different story. Joey was all about fun! His gregarious personality shines in the company of other dogs and soon, he began to accept us as one of the gang during our little-dog play groups. He jumped up and snuggled with us and he learned to enjoy his leash walks. Now in a loving foster home, Joey's sunny personality really glows. He gets along with all his canine foster siblings, big and small. He loves lap time with his foster Mom, and he generously shares her with other littles who hop up to join the snuggle fest. He appears to be house trained, and he rides nicely in the car. He loves to tuck himself under blankets to nap and when it's time to play, he enjoys a good old game of tag with his canine friends. Joey is still hesitant when meeting new people, he takes time to build trust. Once he feels safe, he is a very affectionate boy. If Joey sounds like the boy for you, get in touch!
